Vics Agree Loan Partnership
Vics are pleased to Confirm, after discussions between Vics First Team Manager Mark Randall & H&W Manager Lee Bradbury that Havant will be loaning some of their academy players to the Vics to carry on their development into adult football, with Vics allowing players to go the other way for trials should they fit into the mould of the player that H&W are looking for. With Lee being a former player at Vics he was pleased to allow his younger players to develop at a club he knows well.
Lee Said "It's of mutual benefit for the loan deal, it allows my academy players to develop further into adult football and gain the experience they will need, and also it gives us a presence on the Island, which will enable us to tap into the abundance of quality players around on the Island that may not get picked up by the other sides on the mainland, it also allows Vics to bring in some quality young players that are hungry to develop and impress".
Mark Said "We are very grateful to Lee & all at Havant & Waterlooville for agreeing to the partnership between our two clubs, this is not only a great opportunity for the academy players to come into our club and continue their development into senior football, but a great opportunity for the players at Vics to be spotted by one of the top clubs in Hampshire & the South Coast, and if they show that they have the motivation and self discipline to push on and play at a high level then the opportunity is there through this partnership, I would personally also like to thank Darren Arnold who set the wheels in motion between myself and Lee, and helped set up this great opportunity for the club and its players"
After a successful trial of the Loan partnership where H&W sent two academy players to Vics to play the final 4 games of the season, the partnership will continue into the forth coming 2015/16 season and beyond.
So if there are any players on the Island that think they would would like the opportunity to step up to a Wessex league football club and possibly have the opportunity to be spotted by H&W then get in touch with the club via personal messageor, the clubs FB page or to the clubs Twitter account via direct message @ecvafc, failing that get yourself to Vics pre-season training (Start date to be announced) and put yourself in the picture".
